The park hubs a tree climbing lions, which is a rare behavior phenomenon. Apart from the big 5, Mikumi is also rich in other attractions, such as, bird watching, numerous species of wildlife animals, like: zebra, wildebeests, impalas, buffalos, giraffes, elands, greater kudus, and large numbers of antelopes.

DAY 1.
Pick up from the hotel, airport or boat ferry in Dar es Salaam early in the morning, 6:00 AM, heads to Mikumi. Quick lunch in Morogoro, then proceed with the safari.
Check-in at the hotel/camp in the park, and immediately start game drive. After game drive, return to the hotel for dinner.
DAY 2.
Experience both morning and afternoon game drives, in the park. Walking tours is also inclusive but, optional. Meals for day two includes, breakfast, lunch and dinner.
DAY 3
Morning game drive and lunch at the hotel/camp. Drive back to Dar es Salaam with transfer vehicle. The journey ends after drop off at your hotel in Dar es Salaam.

Basically, visiting any national park or game reserves requires 4×4 vehicles – under the current regulations of the Tanzania National Park Authority only the SUVs with a four-wheel drive are allowed to enter the protected areas.

You need to get a Tourist Visa to get in Tanzania, and you can get a visa at the Tanzanian embassy in your country, or you can be granted one at the airport on your arrival.
Your clothing should be lightweight, breathable, hand-washable, and quick-drying, preferably moisture-wicking and non-cotton.
